You Need a "Judy"

You worked with her at AT&T for 12 years in the DC market. She checks on you from time to time. You've turned up 1000s of cell cites by this time together. She's like your aunt and your mother all in one. She drove a cute Pontiac convertible and she'd let the top down smoking her skinny cigarettes. Sometimes you'd argue about the best way to deploy mini sites at inauguration events. But you'd make up. You could never stay mad at Judy for long.

She tells you years ago she found out her mother is Black. Judy looks White to me. You look at pictures of her mom. You tell her welcome to the community - cause you're definitely a soul sister honey. She's been trying to reach you. You tell her that you can't talk.

But then you send her emails, timelines and pictures. She wants to know if you're safe. She wants you to hide out at her house. Its a mess - she says, but she has a room and a couch.

She tells you she's suing the state of Maryland if anything happens to you. You tell her your wishes is for your estate to go to Elizabeth Seton High School. You're Alma mater. Sr. Elizabeth Seton's motto "Light to Know and Grace to Do".
